Pre-Owned Rolex GMT Master "Pepsi" Dial Collector's Piece, 16700

This pre-owned Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date GMT Master in stainless steel features one of the most distinctive components to any of their watches, the "Pepsi" bezel, a bi-directional rotating blue and red numbered bezel. This watch has a black dial with hour, minute, seconds, date and GMT functions. It is an automatic movement and has been chronometer certified. This watch was first invented for airline pilots who made the transatlantic flights. They were the first people to suffer from jet-lag. The airline Pan Am went to Rolex for help thinking that a watch that could keep track of both their home time and the current time would relieve some of the problem. The two companies worked together to create the GMT Master. This time piece comes with its original box and papers and is from 1996.
